SHORT & SWEET TOP 100 PLAY ‘CRASH TEST DUMMIES’ @ NEWTOWN THEATRE
Anny Slater,director/writer/producer, asked me to be involved as actors movement coach for CRASH TEST DUMMIES, the play she’s directing for Short & Sweet this year.
After reading the script I knew that it would definately present the actors, Andrew Sheehan & Brendan Wynter, with some very particular & specific physical challenges which I felt would be exciting & interesting to tackle & explore from an actors point of view, i.e. movement/physicality that is text-based rather than dance-based.
The workshops have been fantastic & Brendan & Andrew have been terrific to work with, both very willing & able to take on all the script analysis, movement cue’s, stop/starts, Q&A’s, games, repetitions, exercises, improvisations & drills I threw at them…intensive springs to mind.
